The Sea’s Immensity

In times of low
When spirit does wane
The ocean I seek
For melancholy to tame

And there I will sit
On rock or dune
And behold the tide
Driven by the moon

A tumbling world
Before my eye
When all at once
I’ll begin to cry

Pity me not
Joyful tears I shed
In ocean’s sweet melody
True anguish is bled

Such power – A gift from God
With cascading intensity
True woes will fade
Before the sea’s immensity.
